Port Dickson are named after a British high rank officer , Sir John Frederick Dickson who proclaim that vary area as a port as the area grows better in a nick of time and suit for the British area for relaxation which then leads to the growth of the city itself . As for now the 1.8 hectare Pantai Cahaya Negeri is taken care by Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson for community to have a place for recreation purpose , for family day and fishing .

Pantai Cahaya Negeri is one of the Port Dickson’s beachside in Negeri Sembilan . This zone was once announced by Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson for family day and for fishing activity . Pantai Cahaya Negeri is connected to an island named Pulau Burung which is one of the Mangrove Forest in Negeri Sembilan using the 181 meter jetty . The water is super clear and there are a lot of trees along the coastal area hence create a good area for camping as it provide shaded area . Pulau Burung is a bird conservation area (2.5 Hectare) and it was taken care to create an ecosystem that is complex for marine living thing on the beachside .
