• How much of the park is natural? How much is curated? How much is artificial?
• How are people using various spaces in this park?

ANSWERS :

Out of all park in Malaysia that I have been , I chose Taman Botani Perdana , Kuala Lumpur . I‘ve been there couple of week before . The purpose of this park were establish is to acquire the need and demand of leisure and recreation of that area .
When we enter a park , we expect to see an open space open to all and well equip with natural element like field , lakes , trees as shade and aesthetic values . Other that , recreation equipment like jogging track or pavement , playground and not to forget public toilets . In Taman Botani Perdana , I saw many things like jogging track , playground , amphitheatre , man made lake , toilet, herbal garden , café , trees, palm , shrubs , pergolas , and gazebos .The space is super huge . Frankly can be said , the space can enough for the residents . Started from the entrance we going to see the information centre and next to it is the office . Then , we going to the right going down using the stairs start to see the man made natural element which is the garden , a collection of forest trees and the man made waterfalls then going up a little bit then going down found the man made lakes and after that the amphitheatre then going up its was a shady track where people jogging and cycling and along that track theres toilet and prayer room and behind it down the hill there is a pond . Then we walk along the trail where each side with vegetation like palm , trees and shrubs . Then we arrived the middle of the park where there is a field where people setting a wedding event , picnic and snap a wedding photo . Overall the space is balance it has natural element surrounding the hardscape elements . Roughly can be conclude that the park is more than half are natural and others are hardscape elements . It was well design so it was curated but one thing is the pavement is not well friendly for all users like especially the special need people because sometime the pavements at the hill are too steep . The lake and the waterfall are pretty artificial .
The spaces are well used by the people . There using it wisely for an example , we stumble on a group of foreigner who managed an event at the amphitheatre where there are using the stage and others sitting on the provided sitting area .
