3.0 INVENTORY DATA
3.1 Site Background
In
Shah Alam there is several place that provide a good and beautiful view of for
the people around Shah Alam to feel the nature closely. This place also is
suitable for the family or people to having their good time to exercise. Base
on the facilities that have been provided it should give a good benefit to the
people to full fill their free time. This park is an important things need to
be construct within an area of the residential because people can have a good
relax place to spend. There is several park in Shah Alam such as Dataran Bunga
Raya, Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam, Taman Tasik Shah Alam, Taman Wetland,
Taman Rekreasi Seksyen 28, Taman Lembah Bukit SUK and others.
Taman Lembah Bukit SUK is an area of forests
combined with plantations and botanical gardens that lies under the Shah Alam
city. The place also goes by the name Taman Hutan Lipur Bukit SUK which located
at Seksyen 5. This park have the total area of 29 hectare which placed of
building Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Kompleks MAIS, Court Complex and
monument. This park is surrounded by a beautiful element that have become an
attraction to the park. The park provide a facilities for the visitor such as
the flying fox, playground, floating bridge and pedestrian walkway with the
total length 4243m. This place

Go
Green Sdn.Bhd. is a privet company that is responsible to maintain the Lembah Bukit SUK Park, Shaha Alam. This
responsible are given by Environment Unit under the Ministry of Development
to maintain the area for the benefit of its visitors. Lembah Bukit SUK Park is developed
to provide a national scientific education centre and also act as a natural
resource conservation centre for the development of botanical, horticultural,
floricultural, agriculture and another related field in Malaysia. For further

Lembah Bukit SUK Park is a beautiful
14.5 hectare country park on the outskirts of Shah Alam and is open for all to
enjoy at any time. Visitor can wander through the open wild flower field or can
explore the woodland with its many interesting trees and wood sculptures. There
are footpaths through the woods and across the park most of which are
accessible by wheelchairs and push-chairs.
Lembah Bukit SUK Park, Shah Alam
also functions as a community awareness centre that aims to create excitement
and induce the community to appreciate the beauty and benefit of our own
variety local plants and it also our National Heritage.

PERCEPTUAL CHARACTERISTIC
Numerous benefits provided by public parks to ecological
environments and public communities have led to an intense interest in
understanding how a good urban park design can attract more visitors or make
them stay longer. Visual aesthetic quality of landscape, particularly the
beauty and excitement of vegetation, has always been one of the primary focuses
in a majority of park designs.
Recently, there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that
soundscape quality also helps define quality of visitor experiences in parks.
Quiet, solitude and natural sounds are important characteristics for defining
quality of visitors’ experiences in parks, and an intrusion of any unwanted
noise is likely to detract from park experiences.
At Lembah Bukit SUK Park, there are some significant features that
can give attraction for visitor to come to this park. For example flying fox,
Selangor State Memorial Monument, gazebo for barbecue, and Siput Park
Adventure.
1) Flying fox
There is a flying fox which is suitable for
children and adult with maximum weight of 90kg. The height is 3 meter height
that it not dangerous to play. The platforms of flying fox are made from wood.

State Memorial /Monument
The Tugu Peringatan Selangor or Selangor State Memorial/Monument in
Shah Alam commemorates those who gave their lives for the state. It is located
in the formal landscaped garden of the Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz
Shah, the State Secretariat building. Constructed in 1981, the architect is
Dato' Dr Hj Baharuddin bin Abu Kassim.
Four pointed arches are raised high at the four corners supported
on faceted pylons, forming a soaring tower topped by an octagonal dome with a
bronze finial. Islamic geometric patterns decorate the haunches of the arches,
pylons and drum of the dome. The underside of the dome features a series of
rising niches, decorated with gold mosaic and sealed with a rosette at the
apex'.
